PPM59. 7". 300 Pressed. Black vinyl. Covers printed and hand die cut in MacArthur Park. Artwork by Aviram Cohen.
Through the past 13 years Aviram Cohen has used varied music projects to explore different aspects of himself. He brought out his violence and aggression in the punk band The Bad Form. Sought out the absurd and stupid in Soiled Mattress and The Springs. And held up a mirror to himself and his surroundings in Silk Flowers. And now he's managed to meld all of these notions into Volunteers Park. There is a continuing theme in discovering the limitations that one's environment imposes on them, as well as, the limitations one imposes upon themselves. The sparse synthetic sounds of where he left off with Silk Flowers meets the odd and absurd humor of Soiled Mattress and The Springs; combining this with the punk aesthetics of his younger days in The Bad Form.
