HIGH PLACES
Rob Barber and Mary Pearson make up New York duo High Places. Getting inspired by the world of the beaches they make music that takes you to a sandy and salty swirled earth. The HP’s just made the move to Southern California to become residences of Los Angeles’s marine layer and team PPM couldn’t be any happier. Having released some scattered 7”s, a compilation of early work and a full length on Thrill Jockey, their split with New York’s premier “Other” Soft Circle (Hisham Bharoocha, EX Black Dice) is the second installment on the PPM playing field. (the first being their appearance on PPM17 “New Video Works” dvd compilation.) Great things to come from the Highest of Places. |
