Best Coast is Los Angeles songwriter Bethany Cosentino (ex– Pocahaunted) with Bobb Bruno (Polar Goldie Cats). After departing her
blissed out drone project Pocahaunted, Bethany started writing songs
on her own under what could possibly be one of the greatest band names
of all time; Best Coast.
Her aesthetic is semi lo-fi but you can hear the growth within. She
has a way with melody that is of that of an experienced listener of
sounds. Precise and thought out, but smart enough to keep it simple
and concise, her songs are nothing short of classic material. On the
PPM 7” “Something In The Way” she cuts through three tracks of three
chord power, doo-wop punk while the title track will get stuck in your
head for days. Three jammers for today, go deep and get into some
